Introduction to the Medicine Wheel
With Taïga Forest and Claire Mace
At The Old Rectory, Llanfachraeth, Ynys Môn, LL65 4YA
Saturday May 4th & Sunday May 5th 2019, 10am-5pm
The Medicine Wheel appears in many traditions, in many parts of the world.
It is a means of navigation, through both earth-based and nature-based consciousness, a psycho-spiritual map that references the elements of nature, times of day, solar and moon cycles, stages of life and connections to sacred animals.
Different cultures and traditions hold to different mappings and different wheels: the ingredients in each cardinal direction (North, South, East, West) may vary relative to local geography, and may be associated with different elements, different animals and different aspects.
In these two days you will explore the beginnings of creating your own internal map, through teachings, ceremony, shamanic journey, process work and talking circles.
You will get to know the Medicine Wheel as a way of connecting to a more ancient part of yourself: honouring your own internal connection to the land and your ancestors.
This workshop is open to both women and men and is limited to 12 participants.
- A favourite drum or rattle if you have one
- Some lunch to share each day
Cost for the weekend £120.
There are some concessionary rate places available (£75 low income, £35 unwaged), or payment may be possible by exchange. Please get in contact to discuss, if this would be helpful to you.
